I'm trying to decide if I want to finish the book. Lots of potential for OW drama from both the H's ex wife and the h's immature friend. It doesn't feel believable that the h closed her flower shop at 2, cleaned the shop, went grocery shopping, exchanged life stories and it's now 3 o'clock.

Does anybody have some beta- blockers? Or something to lower my blood pressure? I’m afraid I’ll have a stroke before I finish this one.

I am fighting with myself to finish this. The present-day story is pulling me in (not the past parts) and I'm almost to that magical 70-75% point where if something big is going to happen, it's then. But DAMN. I am finding the male narrator SO off-putting. He has a lot of verbal tics that bum me out. He also sounds like a whiny baby which further supports my thoughts that he is, indeed, a BETA MALE. BOOOOOOOOO.
