Status Updates From Stolen Dreams (Cassie Scot #4)

Throughout this whole series, some women are referred to as drained women and sold breeding stock wives. But then SO MANY of the otherwise not villainous male characters come out to have bought their wives. This pseudo open slavery really isn't treated with the gravity it needs. Not at all. Sure, it's horrible for the background victims, but none of the sexual slaves 'married' to named characters are.

I honestly don't understand why Cassie is striving to save her family. They're fucking monsters. (I'm sure an inside look at the Blackwoods would be the same.) But how am I supposed to feel any sympathy for a family that treats people as badly as her does, even if the author makes them out otherwise? That just makes me distrust the author.

I was enjoying this series. Then it started frustrating me. Now, I see the ending coming (I'd bet $$ that Cassie tells Evan he can keep her magic) and I am already preparing myself for the rage I'm going to feel. I'm totally sick of women having to sacrifice to be loved, having to swallow their victimhood, while the men profit from it. Here's hoping I'm wrong, but (again) I'd bet confidently that I'm not. :(

aww how sweet. gratuitous love scene after evan finally offers to give cassie her magic back and she tells him no, she doesnt want it after all. he loves her just the way she is and so does she. way to go girl, give up all your dreams.

i get tired of hearing about all these powerful sorcerers and the women they've rescued especially since Cassies magic was stolen and she's not going to get it back.

ughhh...stupid heroine.

i despise the love interest.

I went from loving this series to being bothered by some elements to absolutely loathing it. I dont even want to finish.
