So far the author has reduced the storyline to stupid tropes that he’s pulled in in order to keep the story going like the old amnesia trope. Just to limit the main characters abilities he first gives him amnesia so he doesn’t remember all of his abilities and then second when the MC does start to get some of these abilities back he then disabled MC strongest abilities so that way he can’t use them.

This is so FUCKING STUPID! Why would he have amnesia! It is a totally BORING delaying tactic that doesn't even advance the storyline. It will probably take 3/4 of the book for him to remember anything, and he will continue to think he is "dreaming" or "imagining" these things.
