What’s the utility of the scenes with Greyson and Kate?? They come out of nowhere and don’t have anything to do with the plot that I can see.

Lol. For a 2018 book, it feels like there's a lot of texting in this book. But texting was a thing in 2018 so it shouldn't be weird. Half way in I can see why no one sees the romance in this. We're just in day 2 (the day after the crime) at this point. The pace is snail slow and with all the detail being provided, nothing of significance beyond the crime, has happened. I'm equal parts bored and intrigued,
