Technically, even if you do qualify, I would think it's still fairly unlikely that your number would come up in a draft. Especially when you just recently reached the minimum age requirement.

Maybe it's different in Kiera's world, but it hasn't been explained yet, so it feels a bit like the characters are overreacting....
