Oh my word and now we have the hero rape the heroine, because drugging her and having sex with her whilst she was out of it and not able to give consent is rape. Just checked the blurb of this again and it doesn't suggest this level of dark. And the fact that the hero has done this purely to blackmail and manipulate Poppy just makes me feel ill. I've read and enjoyed some very dark work but this book isn't one.

Oh my word more product placement that doesn't have any point or place in the story other than to make me think what a pretentious ass the hero is and how much I DONT care what make of car he drives or what watch he is wearing (were on the second designer one, in case you're interested. NO? Neither was I to be honest!)
The only think this is managing to do is ruin what could be a decent story.

Camden is clearly one of those hero's you hate until the author makes you love them. I'm just hoping, from both the prologue and my previous experience of this author, that I'm not disappointed - time will tell!

Oh my word, are readers seriously impressed or attracted by this? I've noticed more and more authors naming specific brands of watch, clothing, cars etc as if I'm somehow meant to find the hero sexier because of it.

If someone's worth is in the watch they wear they are a very sad individual indeed!
