It's discovered that both Valentina and Sergei are part of Omni- she water, he fire; which explains about fire he caused that killed people. Because each is a opposition, they could be a mated pair. It could however put her in danger if those in power in the Coalition found out. Sergei finds them and convinces her to train and stay; the alliance could still be sound.

Sergei tells them before the meeting of the Omni emotional abilities; as lunch carries on, Alec speaks on how they raise their children and use of abilities in life and survival. Valentina feels Regina and anyone involved the attack, a strange mystery involving missing weapons. They finally decide to be in the towers, taking place in Lars quarters.

While searching the place of ambush, they find a ruin that showed evidence of the people there; and that they were their own people. Valentina realizes that with them there, Nikolai could be killed, rushing back find him alive and Regina dead- she tried to kill him.

Nikolai and his are facing many problems and mysteries: a shipment of weapons is missing, another shipment went gone close to when Ariana was taken. At the site of the meeting, those whom shot at them seem to be not very good at tactics. Nikolai still wants to meet Alec at the towers. Valentina still seems to the target.

With the medical team treating Sergei, Valentina vows to find out whom did this. Could have been anyone: Nikolai, Sergei, Alec or Valentina from another Coalition camp. Sergei wants to find Valentina once she leaves, regardless of condition. He and Lars end up at Nikolai's camp- Sergei want her out of service, she helps keep Nikolai in leadership- Yuri doesn't entirely trust Sergei.

The meeting happens under great tension on both sides, but despite that Alec and Nikolai come to agreements about the alliance and to- be constructed tower. A sudden shower of bullets surprises them, Sergei is hit and chaos ensues to get him help.

Valentina returns to Nikolai's camp and speaks her concerns about the meeting with Alec and others. She also helps set out a place for it and any protection in case things go wrong, to protect Nikolai. Lars finds Sergei, whom looks like crap and goes on about his relationship with her.

Bored by being in bed, Valentina scrolls through Sergei's digital notes but takes nothing from it. So she tries to pull a surprise 'attack' on Sergei but fails; he would like her to leave Nikolai but no. Brant tells him that Alec would like to meet him, which surprises him. Valentina leave for Nikolai.

Lars speaks with Sergei about the status of the relationship with the Coalition, how Alec wants more information about the people working on the towers. The camp locations as well. Sergei gives on the first; wants Nikolai's opinions on filling a leadership role. Sergei is into Valentina.

With refusing medical help and not recovery as advised, it means Sergei and doctors to act. Sergei's lies got her sedated but Ariana was able to treat her without surgery; still not happy about things but she is willing to cooperate still not trusting these people.

Valentina tries to figure out how to modify clothing given to hide weapons, which proves only to drive Lars and Sergei nuts. Only in doing so and keeping up with her abilities of stealth ( mostly against Sergei), causes to reopen her wound. Wants medics from her people to see to her care. Weary of the omni people.
