Status Updates From A SEAL Never Quits (Texas N...

Yeah, I think I'm tapping out. I just can't seem to care about the characters and this mission seems weird. Bummer because I love SEAL books but I'm just not sure why SEALs are undercover on a ranch in Texas trying to deal with a cartel issue.

I'm not usually one to be critical of an unbelievable plot...however, I'm not sure this one works for me. 6 Navy SEALs go undercover on a cattle farm...Yeah, like they aren't going to stick out!! I'm only 20% in and someone has already suspected them.

Concerning the romance in this, I think the author is just trying too hard. We already know what will happen. It is just a matter of when.

I wish some authors wouldn't employ the cliched romantic moves. For example, before we are past page two there have already been loin stirrings and sensations of electric shock. I mean, really? Can we just let the story speak for itself? Plus, by this point all the suspense has left the building since the bad guy already mentally outed himself to us. Ugh!
