even if I hadn't seen a picture of gold I could have told you a white person wrote this book.

well that was a 180 in personality for mr. Warren, and then to only call him Jack for the rest of the chapter.

every time the book starts getting good it turns into something like a parody of a lessons. every time gold says the name of a book it feels like product placement.

I'm conflicted. on one hand kaz and Aisha are too dependent on each other to the point of cringing. on the other. they are cute because its cringey. beyond that why do some of the background characters feel more authentic than the two leads? almost half way and the book feels like a 3.

puppy feels like this is important book to read but at the same time it feels artificial. I get what lessons the author is no trying to teach but at the same time I have to scratch my head and reread entire paragraphs because they are arranged oddly. no spelling or grammar issues but structure and pacing is off.

interesting so far. kaz and Aisha are cute together even if the dioulge doesn't feel too natural.

long time no speak. been busy with school so many people I know going back I thought I would as well. that being said I am now tackling the first on my reading requests lists for the puppy opinion!

the dialogues on gender and sex are on point and the racism experienced by the characters is so real and basically this makes me want to cry.
