There are a lot of historical inaccuracies in this one.
She travels three days by carriage with him with no maid or chaperone yet they are trying to preserve her reputation?
His mother is referred to as Lady Barrow but she’s a duchess?
She lived for five years as a companion to a man who has only been ill for six months. So the first four and a half years he’s able bodied and yet this didn’t ruin her reputation?

She hates him because some other man kissed her against her will once. This is not enemies to lovers.

I can’t tell if I’m bored or slumping. Probably slumping because this is a slow mover but it’s also kind of funny.

It’s always amusing when ppl in books have conversations while galloping on horses.

This book gives sexy Jane Austen vibes.
