Dr. Gavin Faulkner hears his boat banging on the dock at 3 a.m due to a storm. When he goes down to secure it he finds a woman nearly dead clinging to a log. He gives her mouth to mouth and takes her into his office to recover. She has amnesia and a gash on the back of her head. Due to the storm he can't get her to the hospital so keeps her overnight in his surgery/office.

This was going swimmingly until the sister, Harper, got involved and steamrolled her way into the action.What an idiot.What a way to ruin what could have been a great suspense story. I stopped reading at that point.
