Sooo, yeah. I just saw that this book is 2200+ pages long. I didn't know why I was progressing so little while I was reading a lot and well, apparently Blade & Rose (Book 1) is 700 pages long. Way to go, me. LOL

Soooo, yeah. I just saw that this book is frigging long (2200+ pages) when I was scratching my head over how slow I was progressing with it XD. Apparently Blade & Rose (Book 1) is almost 700 pages. Way to go, me. Obviously going on is going slow. LOL

Ok. I've finished the first book and am maybe into the second chapter of the the next. I. Can't. Stop. Reading. I love this story so much! I love these characters so much. I feel a vested interest in how things play out for them. I feel defensive of them. And damn it, I love Jon. Even the antagonists, I kind of consider antiheroes. I'm rooting for all of them! Most of all, I'm rooting for Rielle.

First book was good, though a bit inclined to tragic death for my taste. Second book, the originally highly principled characters are forced into one moral compromise after another by (tragic) circumstances, and then start to lose their principles altogether and just give up. Which motivated me to give up on it too.
