Haha I told the person I work for that I read historical books before bed and she told me I should watch Hamilton

Okay I didn't know how awful Lord Dunmore was eeeekkkk
And we finally got a female center but she was described as weak even tho she saved an entire fort likeee ummmkay but I'm giving the author grace bc this is a book from like 1827 or smth. I'd never actually heard of her and I think her story should be more told (Elizabeth Zane)
Anyhoo I kept staying up too late reading this but I'm trying to finish it by Sunday

Haha I've found another book of valuable information they won't teach you in school. 100 bucks says that other 9/10 public schoolers don't know a lot of the stuff that *actually* happened.Thank you education system, you've failed me yet again
On another note, if any other young ladies are to read this, you'll have to pretend that the author addresses girls as well bc this is old and written with boys in mind

How this chapter went:
General B: I'm up on my figurative and actual horsey
George Washington or any literal person General B talks to:*gives advice that a 5 yr old would know to follow*
General B: ....
General B: *words that neither I or the author would care to spew*
General B: *rides away on his horsey*
Everyone else: *blinks in gasp*
~moments later~
General B: *almost dies bc he didn't listen*
Me:*elmo fire meme*

Haha so this is defying my expectations and is quite an interesting read
It's almost like a Lamplighter but less novel-like and more storytelling.
So far I'm one chapter in and I'm pretty sure I learned "millions" more about history than any teacher ever has. And I mean it was all on John Smith for crying out loud.
