Christology chapter felt tacked on.

Justice was meh. Contingency had some cool ideas. Joel 2:25 was an interesting launching point for redeeming the time. Contingency section was helpful.

Christ as the answer to various humanisms is more than a mere Jesus juke. One of the stronger insights in the work.

Race and ethnicity section is fine. A primer. Doesnt really engage the reality that culture and biological appearance are not equal (the former can be sinful, the latter cannot).

Section on OT Israel amongst the nations is unapologetic and powerful

Gender chapter is a long walk for a short drink. Good quotes in footnotes on the key passages. Trinity stuff was not as bad as some reported.

Good works chapter. I think. Hard to follow. Points about God's liberality as a rewarder were encouraging. Wonder if he'll develop male vs female definitions of work at some point.

The devil as "anti-God," rather than the orginator of any concept, was interesting.

Essentially assumes a creation covenant. I get the sense that he's not a progressive covenantalist anymore, so I wonder if he's move on this.

Establishing up front and not mentioning it again: Strachan often uses 25 words when he could have (should have?) used 10.
