C.S. Lewis writes in a chapter near the end of "Mere Christianity" of two stories. One is "Beauty and the Beast". "The other story is about someone who had to wear a mask..." With a little searching I found that this is that story, so of course I have to read it.

Lord George falls in love with Jenny and asks for her hand. She denies for he's evil and she intends on marrying a man of saint soul.

The story is short, but very interesting.
In life we put on a mask to fit in society, and we become what it wants us to be. Instead the story teaches a valuable lesson, if we humble ourselves and enjoy the simplicity and love from the heart that mask to fit in is no longer needed.
