This fl is so frustrating.

Nooo. Now she is omitting important information. The little dingus.

I remember exactly why I stopped reading this at first now. I don’t like when someone is accused of something and they let the misunderstanding continue instead of setting the record straight. Especially when someone is being treated poorly because of it.

It’s ok so far. Very busy. Not a lot of character or relationship development because the whole story seemingly happens over 1 day so far. Fight scenes lasted for pages and I was quite board. Skimmed. Hoped I didn’t miss anything vital.

i know that was done to create a bond to force her to be stuck with them but if these are super duper agents why are they so dumb? like if humans were not allowed why risk it???? also her willingness to do it was not plausible “oh i signed up to be an officer to help the weak so let me be a strangers mindless slave”??? yeah no

I know Marcus cares about Essie, but it sure would be nice if he actually talked to her instead of making decisions for her. She may indeed not have wanted to be a part of the supernatural world, but after they've reunited, maybe she would have changed her mind? He doesn't even talk to her about it. Just makes a declaration and leaves.

Essie, why do you have to be like those heroines that actually runs off on their own when the bad guy tells you to come by yourself without discussing it with the people around you first? At least try to come up with a strategy. You already know he's not going to do what he says he will.

I forgot Kol found out about the second brand like that. And then Marcus mauls her as soon as she comes out of her room. He's quite attached to her. She thought he hated her, but that certainly isn't the case. Even his wolf is stuck on her.

Now she ends up with a real bond and he hopes that it's someone else.

Well that sure didn't work.

Now she knows Marcus doesn't hate her for what happened to him. What a way to find out.

The claim Jacob had to put on Essie just because Victoria is a bitch is really strong.
