I forgot Kol found out about the second brand like that. And then Marcus mauls her as soon as she comes out of her room. He's quite attached to her. She thought he hated her, but that certainly isn't the case. Even his wolf is stuck on her.

It's a little annoying that Essie didn't put two and two together when it came to Marcus. She was there when he was bitten by a werewolf and when she says him again, she notices that he seems more dangerous and even walks completely differently now. It's like she let her wishful thinking blind her to the fact that he's obviously a werewolf. She even notices he puts off more heat now. Frustrating.
