Status Updates From Big City Magic (Hex #1)

I'm on page 120 of 693 of HEX - the entire 4 book: Hex, or Sholto as he is named, is hysterically funny. Eg. "It's so frustrating. We only have, like, two days to save the world and everything that's for us is against us." This is typical of his dialogue.

Author has to be 12, there's no other reason why he'd remind us of the narrator's name and reputation every 3-5 pages. He also can't seem to remember if he wants Hex to be chaotic good or neutral good., so one chapter he shoots a guard and is quite proud of it, another chapter, another character shoots a guard and he's pants wettingly upset about it.
