Author has to be 12, there's no other reason why he'd remind us of the narrator's name and reputation every 3-5 pages. He also can't seem to remember if he wants Hex to be chaotic good or neutral good., so one chapter he shoots a guard and is quite proud of it, another chapter, another character shoots a guard and he's pants wettingly upset about it.
