None of the things that annoy me in many books is present here. There's communication, honestly and really the kind of reaction i could relate to if i ended up in the situation. And sadly that's rare in this genre. Granted, still plenty of book left for MCs to do retarded things for plot purposes, but i am quite hopeful judging from what I have read. This seems a book very in touch with feelings.

I tried. I just couldn't connect with the characters. the final straw was the scene that so resembled another popular vampire romance.
