Growing a bit bored with the story; not too interested to finish it (right now). Don't know if it's Poppy/Tristan, or I'm reading too many Tidemore/Hell and Sin/Christi Caldwell books back-to-back, or what, but am feeling very "meh" about this book.

Did the women in the past really expect their husbands to stay home all day everyday? What about work? If there's no work, where does the money come from? Honestly confused.

Interesting. Even if one in England held a title in the past, it didn't help his financial status at all? What is the use of it, then? The uncertainty of it all...

But then, she could bend the sun to her will, if she so wished it.

While I don't necessarily like the reason for the parting/angst for the pairing, I DO like how it's being handled.

For a change, CC hasn't gone to theatrics and over the top dramatics to push the conflict between two characters. Instead they're behaving like flawed adults. But adults nonetheless.
