They kissed way too fast. I needed at least one more chapter of tension

Just throw a black character in there just to do it and often times the romance is rushed and FMC doesn’t feel authentic in some way. But since the pacing is meant to be fast I was able to over look the rushed romance especially since characters really sold it for me.

This was fast paced and kept me interested. FMC was mixed race which was a nice change. Also the chemistry was palpable between the two. The stalker storyline was obvious but likely intended that way and still well done. I liked their trauma stories and how they worked to gain trust. I also liked mmc was an amputee though his story with his dad pissed me off. My only real complaint is sometimes it feels like white
