DNF a couple pages in. Odd writing style

I like never have trouble blazing through easy breezy even not five contemporary/new adult/chick lit romances... but Evie drives me CRAZY (she's such a caricature but it's supposed to endear her to you I think) and I literally cannot finish this. First time for everything...
