You never need be afraid of what turning your next page brings. Have faith.

A journey I try to take several times a year. Sometime when my brain is less fatigued, I plan to write the full review that Jon Stone's book deserves, probably before 2025 is over.

Mike Smollin may just be my favorite illustrator ever. I couldn't love his work more.

It's not a resolution, but sometime in 2025 I want to do a full treatment review for this book, pouring everything I have into it.

This book's message is needed in this day and age more than ever. A book is meant for turning pages. Yes, that will take you to the end, but that's the point. Keeping a book on the shelf and never flipping its pages just keeps you from enjoying what the story offers you. Similarly, life is to be lived. You can't be so afraid of sadness and pain that you won't take risks.

I love Mike Smollin's drawing style, and his use of lively, lush color. I could spend an hour in this book.

I make a point of rereading this book several times each year. Jon Stone's best, as far as I'm aware.

AGGGH! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!
Grover is begging and begging, but the heartless reader KEEPS TURNING THE PAGE, even though there is a MONSTER at the end of this book!!!!

This book is a real nail-biter. Grover has been beseeching the reader not to tur the page, but the reader refuses to comply...EVEN THOUGH literally EVERY page gets us closer to the MONSTER at the end of this book.

In deep suspense.
Frightened.
What will we do about the Beast at the end of this Tome?

I'm about due for my next read of this classic! :-) I love Jon Stone.
