In the words of the farmers:
CARP is a program that agitates people and creates conflicts. It is a fake program with many loopholes. There is little truth in it and not all farmers or workers can avail of it. The government reinforces people’s hopes to gain land but cannot meet their expectations. This has hurt the lives of thousands of farmers and farmworkers.

“We became a member of MASIPAG in 1991. We heard about the trainings, and sent a couple of representatives up to attend. I thought, “Is that even possible?” We were excited about the idea of producing rice without chemicals. It was a liberating experience.
