So many Austen and Shakespeare quotes that I’m becoming ashamed at my lack of knowledge lol

So far this book is just odd to me. Random lusty observations out of nowhere, characters I thought were middle-aged suddenly turn out to be young and very attractive, characters I initially thought were supposed to be sympathetic turn out to be annoying to everyone … it’s a little confusing. Pausing this one too.
