Status Updates From Wine in the Wilderness

Saw the play at Canadian Stage today. It was a 4-star performance of what would be 3-stars on the page (very dated 60s with too many "baby, baby"s and "n" words) but definitely brought alive by a great cast. Performance review on Facebook if you are interested, script review in a day or so.

Seeing "Wine in the Wilderness" this Saturday Sept 26, 2026 at Canadian Stage Berkeley St. Theatre.

The title is from The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám:

A Book of Verses underneath the Bough,
A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread—and Thou
Beside me singing in the Wilderness—
Oh, Wilderness were Paradise enow!
