Gracious listening: being attentive, patient, and nonjudgmental

I ask for 2 reasons: bc they are a distraction to me and others, & bc your attention & listening matter to the quality of our work together. If you want to put your phone on vibrate, no problem, unless it buzzes constantly. Exceptions are fine, patterns are troublesome. If you want to take notes or use your laptop to refer to background info on topics, please do. I just ask you resist the urge to check email or news

An agreement about distraction:
Within the agreement to take care of yourself, you certainly have my permission to leave the room at any time to check on your family or critical projects. I realize you may have calls you are waiting on or projects you’re tracking. Please use your judgment.
That said, I would love your full attention in this meeting, so please check your electronics at the door. 1/2
