Honestly. Enough with the shrink. These two need backbone not therapy.

The gall of Lainey to act righteous because Adam is trying no to sever his business and financial concerns from Eve. If the roles were reversed, we would understand. The author didn’t make these two likeable in the end. I guess they’re flawed fools.

Adam deserves everything he demands. Eve is a selfish bitch.

They deserve each other but they’re cowards and foolish human beings. A genuine waste of the reader’s emotional bandwidth.

Lainey also, being strung along by Eve, never moved on. She was too cowardly to leave Jack, which she should have done since the first book. It would have given her the opportunity to explore her queer side or try out other relationships. Unfortunately, she decided to stay and be Eve’s emotional waste basket until Eve chose her. Even at the cost of her kids mental and emotional health. Despicable behavior.

As we’re nearing the end of this, I realize why I’m bored with the story. Eve and Lainey have been here before and Eve made the selfish choice to pursue a relationship with Lainey. Then she made the selfish choice to settle with Adam while keeping Lainey on a string in her life. Now, after many years, she’s making the selfish choice to be with Lainey and we’re supposed to act like Adam is the problem.

Given how bored I am with the repetitive nature of this story, 2 stars.

Need to finish this. I’m tired of this story. And I’m no longer invested in their love. They’re a bunch of time wasters that could have made the mature decision two books ago. Hour run is a great writer though. 3 stars.

I’m looking forward to getting to the end of this one.

Adam isn’t a bad guy. The problem is Eve and the fact that she shouldn’t have married him. Especially since she knew how she felt about Lainey. Yet she kept Lainey in her life. Adam’s reaction is logical. And with the progression of Eve’s feelings, he’s clearly right.

Kevin is an interesting character.

Lol. After the sludge that was book 2, we’re back where we started with all the characters in book 1.

After the wack book I read yesterday, Eve and Lainey’s story is a huge relief. This is quite entertaining.
