I was prepared to read about poverty and desperation, but never imagined people being cooked alive and fighting each other in the dark because stripping their clothes off to get cool isn't working and going back to their Catholic roots and crying out to God isn't working and using railroad spikes to try to pound a hole in the boxcar isn't working.
I don't see why people write horror when real life is this tragic.

A beer storage boxcar seals hermetically when the door closes, designed to assume & retain the temp of the loading zone it's in- a beer factory w/ refrigerated air, not a 100 degree night in the desert of El Paso plus the body heat of 19 passengers. In a few hours, the oxygen ran out. After 14 hours, border patrol opened the door to 18 corpses, blood spewed from body cavities & organs exploded by intense heat.
