Love the setting and magic system so far. want to learn more about what lace is, how blood powers it, and the curse/infection and haunts. Confused on where the mc stands in the setting's politics though. Self serving but in a kind of confusing way. hope to learn more. I really dont like Millie for no real reason tbh; her sunshine attitude is just really annoying to me lol

Soooo... you're telling me in one paragraph how you don't want to drag your friends into Sisterhood business and literally fold just immediately afterward? And under zero pressure?? WHY ARE YOU TELLING PEOPLE YOU'RE A SPY?! This feels like it's one of those books I'm getting increasingly more annoyed about.

So far I like the concepts and ideas but the writing isn't too enticing so far. Also, the setting is still confusing.
