cranky bc a important plot point came somewhat out of nowhere when comparatively the rest of the book has an excellent slow-trickle of information. just needed a few more hinttts or something idk. anyway i really like the worldbuilding in this book though its excellent

Love the setting and magic system so far. want to learn more about what lace is, how blood powers it, and the curse/infection and haunts. Confused on where the mc stands in the setting's politics though. Self serving but in a kind of confusing way. hope to learn more. I really dont like Millie for no real reason tbh; her sunshine attitude is just really annoying to me lol
