Start sex scene 3. The overpossessiveness is supremely annoying. The writing is beginning to kill the story, imo.

So, I'm wondering when someone else is going to take a shine to Nick and want to buy him. Because it's bound to happen.

End of sex scene #2, 3%. You know, when you find yourself going "you just have to get through this sex scene" to get to story, it's not going well.

First sex scene done. 4% of the story. Yes, I'm tracking this time.

It's been just over a year since I read the first story. I'm hoping the sex is toned down a touch in this one.

Todd, you bloody idiot--THINK! *bangs head on desk repeatedly* Sometimes the stupidity of these characters seems like it is just there to make the story more complicated. Gah...sometimes people just plain annoy me with their idiocy.

These two would win the award for co-dependency. I get they are in love and all, but chill, dudes. Maybe that is what I find so hard to understand about their relationship: this balance of need and independence. Falls to often on the need side of the equation for it to feel like a solid relationship.

Ok start. Not sure I buy that the chancellor dude wouldn't understand what he was doing when he sent that letter. This does look like there is going to be more focus on the hunting than the personal drama. Would really like to see how Nicky gets along on his own during this whole hunt.

I think it's time to abandon this book. It's not holding my attention.

Probably should have reread the first book before starting on this book....
