A fascinating mix of humor and grimness in these stories. I was particularly interested to read "Wake Island", about a world where scientists attempt genetic modification to eliminate sleeping, with poor results.

I really loved following the migratory life cycle of the culture in "Seasons of the Ansarac".

Neat premise for a collection of slightly connected stories.

I liked some stories but it feels like a lot of ideas strung together without a theory undercutting them to hold the book together

this cover made me laugh so damn hard i couldnt not grab it at the library. and ursula k le guin???? damn
