i just binged this in a few hours i think

im rating this three stars

i hope the next books are more intriguing

i was somehow fine with how this story progressed and ended

any more or less and i def wouldnt be

not to say this was perfect
it was just so odd m
but yeah
depressing

to think of humans ending up like this pet

^as in, the humans were prob curious and ended up getting abducted

or maybe there was some kind of disaster and aliens are just terrible at reading and understanding humans to think they were docile enough to board their ship

that point of theory is only compounded with all these other alien details
their arrogance and conceit
not seeing humans are sentient
infuriating

story as a concept was just inherently depressing

even the start in hindsight is creepy now
why did the humans board the alien ship

there was no mention of something like a natural world ending disaster i assumed

maybe the aliens saw it differently as usual

finally read this book
after seeing this book cover photo constantly for years but being put off by it

this def had the feel and reminded me of shay savages’ transcendence
i think

it was weird reading this befire and after knowing who the author is
i mustve reread that other alien series at least twice over
