Okay. I almost, almost, dnf this. The info-dumping in the first chapter hit me like a brick wall. That cliff hanger in the end saved it.

Btw, can anyone suggest a good angel fantasy novel?

Amiah is one of those women who really needs a friend to hit her upside the head and make her get some sense. I pretty much despise her at this point.

Amiah.... the angel we learned to dislike in Essie's story. I really do NOT want to like her, and seeing a story about her (where she actually GET SEBASTIAN!) is bothersome.... however.... Tessa Cole smacks it out of the way in Chapter 1... leading with subtle and not so subtle reasons that make you actually want to know ore about this misguided angel. *sigh* OK... I'll bite.

You know what, I can't even remember what amiah did in the original series but I stan. Fuck Esther and the gang (I still love their story lol its just refreshing seeing from someone else's view). unrequited love sucks balls and watching someone else's happiness unfold with what coulda been you is the worst.

Yeah no, if you want an inkling of what's happening you need to read the main series. I barely remember these chars and I'm struggling hard lmfao
