Right now, I would give Necessary Roughness 4/5 stars. The Main character, Chan, is very surprising and actually acts like a high school boy. I really like this book for that reason, I feel like I could possibly have a connection with the Main character.

Kim and his father go to a father, and son meeting where Kim's father meets all of the football players. Kim's father likes everybody, and seems to like Kim being in football

Chan was just accepted into the varsity football team. His family is very surprised and happy for him, everyone except his father, that is. His father thinks that being a football player will slow down their production of their shop.

Chan was asked to be a kicker for the football team. He was able to meet the team and the coach, and he was even able to go to the tryouts. At tryouts he worked profusely, and in the end, his new friend Mikko (All-pro) said that he did ok, "you just need time to improve."

Chan has finally arrived at his new class, After an awkward welcoming, it's time for lunch. Not knowing where the lunch room is, he searches around the school to find it. However he can't find it, so he decides to eat in the gym, where he meets the athletes, who so far don't treat him fairly.
