Ugh. We have reached the part of the book where the characters are in love and insufferable.

Enjoying it. Reminds me a lot of JG Ballard. But more accessible. (Ballard gets lost in his weird geometry talk.) I did find the word "roseate" used a bit much in this book.

Someone mentioned this book on Reddit. They mentioned a version of the story was in a comic called Taboo. I vaguely remember that. Started to preview the book and then bought it. I feel tricked.
