i wanted to like this because at times during legend's puppy traning it felt like he was literally a hell hound. some days it still feels like that until he flashes that puppy grin and bright eyes and wags his tail... but my fondness for my own dog can't overcome this book which is just trite and rote, almost designed more for advanced beginning readers than teens or adults.
