Ultimately, I think having Slade be in a relationship with one of the elves is fine, but the sex scene from his PoV was super unnecessary and unwanted. I skipped over like 90% of it. I hope there is not more of that going forward, but I'm honestly not sure what will happen.
Overall, this book was fine. Not as good as the first, but I was still fairly engrossed in it.
