Tried to read book 2 and that was rushed and poorly written and this is also unfortunately. FMC is 25 mmc 41 she’s a cna at his abusive dad’s nursing home. He helps her when her car breaks down and she invites him to a naked painting event. He takes her home and they sleep together. No build up not my thing

No slow burn here

This is a sweet and spicy 🌶️ novella, but there’s like no real tension or conflict to keep the couple apart. Just them trying to escape demons caused by their fucked up families and pasts. Lot of sadness and anger with not much family resolution
