Wait, really? Her friend has this huge, uncharacteristic blow up and her reaction/action is to go cry? Not be like, “wow, friend, you clearly have a lot going on, talk to me, buddy.” I don’t know how much I like this FMC. She is proving to be very self centered

I love Jake and Mable was great in the first few chapters but (and I hate that I have to say this) after the "altercation" she's just too irritating and stubborn.

So far I really like this, but I do miss the characters from books 1! I did feel like some of the major conflict points were a bit predictable, but that was true for the first book as well. It’s not horrible because the rest of the writing is so well done and I love the characters who tend to be fully fleshed out even if they’re not the main characters. Glad to see people with real friendships!
