Status Updates From Midnight: Tales of a Blacke...

This is an interesting but hard read. Errors like, “She tried to scream, but her mother was covered by a firm, leather-gloved hand” is melting my brain. Another issue is the use of words that don’t fit the writing style. It reminds me of my abusive use of the Thesaurus in high school. I love the concept but really dislike the execution. I’ve given up on this book a few times but this will be the final push.

Slower going on this one than the “Black Borne” series. Maybe I’m not clicking with the protagonist. Unsure.
