I'm not entirely sure I like her using the disciples betraying Christ as an example of how to handle hurts. That wasn't a normal friendship relationship and was a unique situation. I like her overall point about knowing how to handle hurt in friendships with grace, but I would be concerned that the example with the disciples could be taken wrongly.

Good reminder to let other people see the messiness in your life.

I think the book might be stretching the example of the disciples as friendship just a bit. But overall it's good and the author makes good points.

Not sure I would characterize the Last Supper as a celebration but more if a solemn observance. It was a Passover Dinner and preparation for Christ's crucifixion.
