Status Updates From Delta Green: The Labyrinth

Agent Renko is simply the best TTRPG NPC I've ever come across. A pathos-driven double agent embodying all the paranoia and tragedy of classic spy fiction; but written so mercurially that even the Handler does not know the truth about him until his storyline is concluded and the superposition of double/triple crossings finally resolves in a grim reflection of the players' above-table arguments about who he really is.

"She saw that her existence had always been dedicated to a single purpose: to ensure that the great life force of Shub-Niggurath could be fruitful and multiply. For while Shub-Niggurath is a cosmic principle of life, not all life is inherently of Shub-Niggurath. Other forms of life are plentiful in the cosmos, but those life forms are not venerated or even valued by the Black Goat."
