Status Updates From Bibi & Miyu 01 (Bibi & Miyu...

Picked up this book from the discount bins while back had no idea this was based on a German media property. Tokyopop seems to do a lot of Disney manga crossover stuff didn't know they also did German cartoons. It's cute I like the crossover between cultures, I'll have to check out the cartoon

Hm, the interviews suggest makers that could have come up with a better story. It was ok, but I think it could have use another review.

So they do use Miyu's magic... in a pretty complicated way. And so wht theat Taki could not see whose fishing net is their's, he can see them!!!!

USE YOUR MAGIC!!!!!!! I checked and this book is for 10 year olds and above and no one that age is that stupid.

Just witch the Taki-fish out of the water. The three Yokai/oni/whatever can't stop Bibi anyway. I am really asking what the target demographic for this is. 2nd graders?

Come on, you don't have to explain that catching fish is some game on a county fair, I think every reader would get that simply from the story.

So she doesn't run away from the three yokai because they are so strong but because she has a date with Taki? Great priorities.

Going with your street shoes into the house... does the author know that she is not American? Do some people here in Germany actually run around in the house with their street shoes? I don't know a single one who does.

Sauerkraut and sausages... wow... these japanese kids are really into stereotypes. Interesting that they show the japanese kids with believing in more stereotypes than the german ones. not so unrealistic from what I have been told.
