Status Updates From The Dragoneer omnibus 1 - 3

I'm into "book two" of this trilogy omnibus (rather short books, arbitrarily divided), and having fun. Sure, it is fairly predictable in some major beats, but still a fun read. And hey, dragon riding! And I don't mind at all that they stole McCaffrey's term "weyr" for a place to keep dragons, it should probably just enter the lexicon at this point. If I had dragons in my writing (who says I won't?) I'd use the term!

I'm enjoying this story more than the last dragon based story I was trying to read (I just haven't taken the time to read, what w/ some great shows being available to me on Prime & Disney+ right now). The plot so far is just a bit predictable, I can see how it is going to go, at least the two directions is has to pick from. One of those two will be the route it takes, I'm sure of it, given the setup.

Let's give these dragons a try. Sure as heck didn't like the dragons in the "Dragons Rising" series (NOT ONE BIT!)

finished, finished the 3rd book this afternoon this writer is excellent at holding your attention and balancing normal things with the action and fighting. at some point, I wish to read the rest of this series
