Status Updates From Of Blood and Bones: Working...

So many updates bc I've been reading it every time I go to the restroom lol

This next section is going to be about death, and my interest is peaked.
It's weird to know that I'm almost done with this book. Nostalgic almost. I've been tabbing the shit out of this book btw. I went through an entire thing of tabs lol and went through the last 3 rn .

I'm not aligned with the idea of sacrificing a plant in the manner mentioned so I just skipped those spells, but I do like some of the other spells that include sacrifice

I disliked the way they talked about water fasting but tbh it could just be a trigger from when I had anorexia. But overall I enjoy the fact and the way they mention fasting. I like this section a lot.

When I go to rate this book I won't be able to rate it higher than a 4.5 bc of their equating of voodoo dolls and poppets being the same, bc their not. Voodoo dolls being linked to witchcraft is based on racism and white privilege. I could do a whole rant here but I don't have enough characters left to do so. But yeah. I won't be rating higher than 4.5 for that purpose alone.

I'll be starting a new section tomorrow. This new section is about poppets

I read up to page 176 last night. It's a good read, but I'm glad that I have moved on to different content within the book. The last section was about how to use animal body parts within a spell. Idk. Useful information to have but I'm glad to be moving on.

I've chosen this book for 75 medium. So I should be making decent progress on this 😋

The first third of this book was meh. Transitioning over into the darker stuff like using bodily fluids and animal parts in spell craft things got more interesting. I do think that because of the HEAVY influence of Wicca in the witchcraft/metaphysical/neo-pagan world it isn't super often that you run into these discussions, which is rather unfortunate because of the potency of these objects and their symbolism.
