i'm dnfing this one because the author is condescending as fuck, a snob, and this book is genuinely so hard to read because the structure is fucked. every paragraph brings up a different interview snippet from 20 years ago. it's boring, rude and hard to follow. not worth the time and super disappointing.

okay so i was at the library today looking for another book but since this is nonfiction it was dewey decimal organized so all music related and…this book highkey got the same cover as the kelefa sanneh book which is why i picked it up. it was short so i checked it out. based on the reviews (didn’t glance until i got home) i may be in for a bit of a ride lol
