Status Updates From Selected Poems

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH

I feel like if I was trapped in a lonesome tower with only this book to keep my company, I might’ve liked it. But I feel like you really need to sit on these poems and think about them to enjoy them. While I personally think poetry should impress you from the bat.

I just wish poetry would be more literal sometimes.

I like “Paisaje”, “El silencio” and “Después de pasar” so far. But the “Book Of Poems” section I personally liked a lot better.

Book Of Poems: I know he’s probably talking about men’s sinful desires and all but him talking about how a goat loves sex just can’t metaphorically make sense in my head—
